* Prices
will vary depending upon services requested, as well as from
special promotions and discounts that may apply. Final prices
can only be set after full consideration of what level of
service you require. We do reserve the right to adjust the
price as we see necessary. For example, if a release is to
be performed from a boat and requires significantly more
time and planning, the price will be adjusted accordingly. |
* If
you desire to do a hand release, a trained handler must be
present to hand the birds to you, as they are easily injured.
Even the most tamed bird will occasionally struggle, and
trying to hold on to it from it's feathers, a wing, or a
leg will most likely injure it. Releasing an injured animal
into the wild is not a thing to celebrate. Further, if they
are held incorrectly, there is a good chance of being scratched. Normally
they don't break the skin, but this is one more reason why
we prefer to keep the two species apart. |
* Service
area is currently restricted to the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.
This includes Emerald Bay and south on West Shore and Zephye
Cove and south on the East Shore. As the season progresses,
however, the birds will reach their peak condition and I
will of found my own confidence to know that they will
return as they ought to. The birds are reputed to be good
for a thousand miles, but my nerves are currently at 20 miles. |
* A security
deposit of up to $100 is required on all loaned baskets. |
* Some
times a craft store will have a wonderfully decorated box
with brass handles and a lid for a reasonable price. After
cutting vent holes and a nice bow ribbon to secure the lid,
these can provide an asthetically pleasing solution to having
to return baskets when the celebration is moving into full
swing. These boxes are disposable, so when the birds fly
away, so do the remainder of your worries with little details
that just take time from your day. We occassionally have
these boxes in stock, so please ask if they are available.
